Responsibilities The Finance Manager role within the Schools Business Partnering team, supports Planning and Business Partnering to support delivery of the University's financial plan. The role provides high-quality financial advice, builds trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, and delivers responsive management information. Acting as a key contributor to financially significant decisions, the postholder will demonstrate strong communication and influencing skills, credibility with senior leaders, and the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team. Person Specification The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or have equivalent professional experience, with substantial knowledge of higher education administration, governance, compliance, and policy frameworks. They will bring experience in financial management and planning, alongside strong stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, and service delivery skills. The role requires excellent relationship-building, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities, with experience managing teams, contributing to policy development, and overseeing budgets and financial planning in a complex environment.
