The Role
As part of the Science Department, you’ll play a key role in supporting the school’s tradition of academic success and innovation in teaching.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Teaching A Level Biology to KS5 and GCSE Science to KS3/4 students
* Planning and delivering engaging, challenging lessons aligned with the AQA specification
* Supporting students through exam preparation, coursework, and enrichment projects
* Encouraging a love of science through experimentation, inquiry, and critical thinking
* Contributing to departmental development, open evenings, and extracurricular STEM activities
You’ll work alongside a talented and supportive team of science educators who are passionate about both subject mastery and student wellbeing.
About You
We’d love to hear from you if you are:
* A qualified Science or Biology Teacher (QTS or QTLS) with experience teaching A Level Biology
* Confident in delivering complex scientific concepts with clarity and enthusiasm
* Experienced in preparing students for AQA A Level Biology assessments
* Passionate about helping able students stretch their knowledge beyond the curriculum
* Collaborative, organised, and reflective in your teaching practice
ECTs with strong subject knowledge are encouraged to apply you’ll receive excellent support and mentoring from an experienced department.
