Accountant with AAT - long term temporary position - start ASAP
Our client is based in Basildon and is urgently seeking a Public Sector Accountant to join a large and very busy Management Accounting Team.
This is a varied and rewarding role with wide ranging Accounting duties, including:
* Preparing and budget monitoring of all funding budgets
* Supporting the corporate transformation agenda in particular with regard to accounting and monitoring efficiency targets as well as providing innovative professional accountancy support to a range of front-line and support services
* Development of the Medium Term Financial Strategy
* Development and preparation of the Financial forward forecast modelling.
* Preparation of the annual budget
* Completion of the annual statutory final accounts in accordance with accounting practices
* Producing regular budgetary control reports for presentation to the Senior Leadership Team
* Provide business advice role and guidance on financial matters and support to cost centre managers
* Maintenance of corporate financial management systems
This is a hybrid post with 3 days per week in the office.
