The Global Channel Partner Sales (GCPS) team is a sales organization accountable for the commercial partner business at Microsoft, and the mission is to build and sell Microsoft Cloud applications, services and devices with partners, empowering people and organizations to achieve more.
As a Partner Solution Architect, you will guide the development of business solutions, provide deep technical insights, and accelerate the growth of Microsoft Tech priorities within our Partner Ecosystem. You will play a pivotal role in guiding our most significant partners to design and implement innovative scalable, secure, and efficient cloud architectures that meet market needs. By leveraging your skills in technical leadership, cloud computing, software development, problem solving, and systems architecture, you will drive business impact by enabling digital transformation, optimizing performance, and driving innovation through effective use of cloud technologies.
Responsibilities
* Design Cloud Architectures – Ensure robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure tailored to partner needs.
* Lead Architectural Design Sessions – Facilitate collaborative planning and design sessions to align with business goals and technical requirements.
* Develop Proof of Concepts and Pilots – Demonstrate feasibility and benefits of proposed solutions, gaining partner buy‑in and driving adoption.
* Provide Technical Guidance and Support – Ensure successful implementation and optimization of cloud solutions to maximize partner satisfaction.
* Transition Partners from Legacy Systems – Facilitate smooth migrations to modern cloud environments.
* Partner Enablement and Business Acumen – Guide technical pre‑sales, deployment, and consumption, coach partners on resilience and competition, articulate Microsoft Cloud value proposition, translate technical concepts into business benefits.
* Ensure strong integration with Microsoft’s broader channel ecosystem – Work closely with PSS and PDM sales roles to drive outcomes aligned with Microsoft strategy across the UK & I area.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field with technical consulting, consultative selling, product development or related technical/sales experience.
* OR Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field with similar experience.
* OR equivalent experience.
* Previous related experience in technology IP solutions or services development, with deep understanding of digital transformation business drivers, cloud platforms, and emerging cloud trends such as generative AI and SaaS services.
* Strong background and in-depth knowledge of cloud technologies, focusing on Microsoft's cloud offerings (Azure, Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365).
* Strong working knowledge of Information Protection approaches, NIST 800‑53, and related compliance frameworks.
* Experience with M365 and Azure Security platform, multi‑tenancy management, security governance, data access, incident response best practices, managed security services, SOC architecture, Zero Trust, MFA and SIEM.
