Sales & Estimator Specialist - Cladding Contractor We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established cladding installation contractor, for an experienced Sales/Estimator Specialist to join their team. This is a permanent, full-time role offering long-term stability and career growth. Key Responsibilities Client Engagement & Sales Meet with prospective clients across commercial, industrial, agricultural, and domestic sectors. Identify requirements for roofing, cladding, and re-cladding projects. Advise on suitable material options (e.g. metal sheets, rainscreen, composite panels, fibre cement). Negotiate pricing and terms to secure contracts. Estimating & Quotation Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and site measurements. Calculate materials, labour, installation times, and associated costs. Account for waste, overlaps, fixings, insulation, and weatherproofing. Produce accurate and professional quotations (per m², linear metre, or full project). Technical Knowledge Strong understanding of roofing and cladding systems including: Metal sheeting (corrugated, box profile, standing seam) Timber cladding (e.g. Yorkshire boarding) Composite insulated panels Fibre cement boards Flashings, gutters, trims Awareness of building regulations, fire ratings, and wind/snow loadings. Project Coordination Act as the link between clients, suppliers, and installation teams. Ensure timely delivery of materials and cost control within budget. Business Development Build and maintain long-term client relationships. Grow business opportunities via networking, trade shows, and referrals. Stay informed on market trends, new products, and competitor activity. Skills & Qualities Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans. Strong numerical and analytical skills for cost calculations. Knowledge of construction materials and installation techniques. Highly organised with strong time management. Proactive and commercially minded. Package Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per year (DOE)
