The Role
The Autism Spectrum Disorder Service in Northampton offers a Consultant Psychiatrist role to develop and strengthen experience within the Autism & Learning Disability Division while facilitating research and clinical ideas. The service is forward‑thinking, open to new ideas, and adopts a holistic approach to patient care and treatment.
If you want to work with an innovative, dynamic team, develop and deliver up‑to‑date treatments, and thrive in a supportive environment, this will be a personally and professionally rewarding role. The post-holder will undertake non‑clinical activities of interest – research, teaching, governance and management – influencing the direction of services to achieve the best patient outcomes.
You will lead a multi‑disciplinary team and oversee management of patients with often complex needs, promote innovation and improve services, and have scope to develop specialist interests and grow remit and responsibilities. You will have an office, support from an associate specialist as ward doctor, and a full MDT including Clinical Administrators and Personal Assistants dedicated to your wards and service.
We seek an individual who desires autonomy to make decisions that improve patient care and outcomes, passionate about transforming care, and ready to lead a team sharing that passion.
