Theatre Sister/Senior ODP

We are looking for qualified ODP practitioners and Registered Nurses to join our dynamic team at the accredited Friarage Surgical Centre.

* Scrub experience in General Surgery
Main duties of the job
The operating department at our new Surgical Hub has 6 main operating theatres and 2 minor operating rooms. The theatres provide an operating service to the following specialties: General Surgery, Gynaecology, Urology, Orthopaedics, Plastics, ENT, Maxillofacial, Ophthalmic, Pain and Spinal Surgery.
You will be an active member of the multidisciplinary team, demonstrating a range of essential skills to lead your team.
The department is committed to staff development and offers the opportunity to develop your leadership skills further. Staff will at times be expected to work across site at the main tertiary centre at James Cook University Hospital. Good communication and organisational skills and the ability to lead a team are essential to this post.

You will be expected to attend the leadership development programme, and the Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. The programme aims to:

After you complete this four and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities. We offer further in‑house courses dependent upon your role and bite‑size programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3, 5 and 7.

Knowledge

Qualification
* Registered Nurse with NMC or ODP with HCPC
* Nursing Degree/Diploma or ODP qualification
Experience
* Prepared to update and undertake further professional education to meet the required skills for the role.
* Mixed speciality experience
