The Core is a thriving and successful multi-purpose arts venue in the heart of Solihull town centre, located in Theatre square adjacent to Touchwood and comprising the main 336-seater Theatre, smaller multi-use Studio, Café Bar and The Courtyard Gallery exhibition space.
We are currently recruiting for Box Office Assistants who can work flexibly to support business needs and the seasonal opening demands of the venue. The hours of work will require you to work weekends, evenings and bank holidays
The busy venue hosts a wide variety of shows and events throughout the year including music, drama, comedy, film and dance, as well as a popular annual pantomime. The Core also holds regular art exhibitions and runs a programme of daytime and evening classes and courses.
The Encore Café Bar serves hot and cold lunches with a fully stocked bar with a catering function for events and conferences.
The Box Office, located within the main foyer, is the frontline for the venue for ticket sales and information on all performances, events and activities at The Core.
You will join our friendly and dedicated team of permanent and casual staff, providing the high standards of service expected by our patrons. Successful applicants will be IT literate, have knowledge of cash handling and have excellent customer service skills, preferably in a public service – arts/leisure environment.
An interest in the Arts is preferable but not essential. Full training will be given, and successful candidates must be available for 3 / 4 training days.
