Job Summary
We are seeking a Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprentice to support the Science Department by providing resources and materials for teaching and learning. The successful candidate will also qualify for a Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and materials for science lessons.
* Assist teachers with lesson delivery and experimentation.
* Keep accurate records of consumables and report shortages.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with safeguarding and health & safety standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Lvl 3 apprenticeship qualification in a relevant science or technology field.
* Basic knowledge of laboratory safety protocols.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
* Willingness to undergo DBS and other required checks.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, 32.5 contracted hours per week over 38 working weeks per year.
