Job Title: IT Application Support Practitioner

Location: Barrow-in-Furness. This role will require full time, on site working

Salary: Circa £52,000


What You’ll Be Doing

* Investigating, diagnosing and resolving technical issues reported by end users to ensure continuous system availability and user satisfaction
* Providing hands on, immediate assistance to users often in person to help effectively use and troubleshoot Business Engineering applications and services, ensuring smooth operations and optimal performance
* Proactively monitored application performance and stability, identifying and resolving potential issues to maintain optimal service availability and user experience
* Overseeing the administration of various toolsets including application configurations and development
* Support with user administration requirements and configuration development
* Monitoring the environment of applications and tracking performance


Your Skills And Experiences

* Experience of using and applying MS and/or Oracle SQL
* An ITIL certification is mandatory for this role
* You will need to have prior experience gained with Siemens Teamcenter
* Experience in the use of Linux and Unix based servers
* Ability to undertake database problem solving


Desirable

* Experience of applying PLM toolsets within an engineering environment

The Product Development Service Delivery Team

This is a really exciting time to join us in the team as we transfer into a new suite of applications. You will be joining us at the start of a new project/transition and will be closely involved with key developments and a variety of stakeholders. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria
