Casual Mechanic
We're looking for a Casual Mechanic to join our team at the Motor Circuit. This is a truly unique opportunity to work with a fleet of classic 1950s and 60s Saloons and GTs, including Jaguar, BMW, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, MG, Ford and Austin, as well as a large collection of Series 2a Land Rovers used for customer experience days.
You'll be responsible for maintaining, safety checking and preparing all circuit vehicles to ensure they're ready for a fun and safe day on the Goodwood Racetrack. You'll carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance, log accurate vehicle records, and support stock control.

What you'll do:
* Inspect and assess vehicles to identify wear and tear
* Diagnose and resolve faults on cars
* Carry out routine maintenance and repair, including MOT preparation
* Restore, repair and replace components
* Tune engines for optimum performance
* Fit up restoration cars
* Work on electrical and mechanical systems
* Support other Technicians in the workshop
* Record work carried out and parts used clearly and accurately
* Assess vehicles for future improvements
* Rebuild engines and gearboxes (desirable but not essential)
* Follow up on corrective actions and implement countermeasures to reduce fault recurrence
What you'll bring:

* Minimum Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair NVQ or equivalent
* At least 5 years' experience working with classic cars
* Full UK driving licence
