Temporary Domestic Abuse and Housing Coordinator Part-time, 18.5 hours Salary £31,067 - £34,314 (pro rata) Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council are looking for a temporary Domestic Abuse and Housing Coordinator, working 18.5 hours per week, to cover a maternity leave. Reporting to the Senior Housing Strategy Officer you will provide cross-county support to all six Worcestershire district councils and their front-line domestic abuse housing officers. You will provide reports to Worcestershire Senior Housing Officer Group and work closely with West Mercia’s Women’s Aid and the County Council Domestic Abuse commissioner. You will lead on coordinating county-wide domestic abuse housing officer (DAHO) and DAHO manager meetings to ensure DAHO’s are working consistently and are supported to update their knowledge and skills in relation to domestic abuse. You will provide quarterly reports to the Worcestershire Senior Housing Officers Group (WSHOG), to include updates on Worcestershire households, homelessness due to domestic abuse, national legislation, national and regional reports and feedback from DAHOs, their managers and partners. You will work closely with West Mercia Women’s Aid to ensure the voices of victim - survivors are incorporated in strategy review and service design. You will work closely with district councils and the county council commissioner to ensure the skills and knowledge of housing teams are maintained and lead to positive outcomes for victim – survivors across Worcestershire. Educated to degree level, or an equivalent qualification in a subject related to the role, you will have experience of managing projects and working with partner agencies to achieve common objectives. You’ll need to be a good communicator and an organised and strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple areas of work. You will need to engage and build successful relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and partners. Key duties and responsibilities To be a centralised contact within housing with knowledge of all services/initiatives available to prevent and address domestic abuse in Worcestershire. Lead on coordinating county-wide domestic abuse housing officer (DAHO) and DAHO manager meetings to ensure DAHO’s are working consistently and are supported to update their knowledge and skills in relation to domestic abuse. Work closely with Worcestershire County Council domestic abuse commissioners, ensuring good lines of communication are maintained. Provide reports drawing on audit, quantitative and qualitative local data for 2024/25 including updated information from housing teams’ engagement with victim - survivors of domestic abuse, effectiveness of referral outcomes, record of Personal Housing Plans, support offered and gaps that need to be addressed.
