Lead Fire ICT Engineer
Position: Lead Fire ICT Engineer – Suffolk Fire & Rescue Service.
Location
Ipswich East Fire Station, IP3 9SJ.
Contract & Hours
Permanent – 37 hours per week (pro rata for part time).
Salary
£40,777 per annum.

Your Role And Responsibilities
* Manage incoming service requests via ITSM, email, or phone, allocating tickets to engineers and escalating complex issues as needed.
* Lead daily support for IT infrastructure, networking and datacentre systems, including installation, troubleshooting and monitoring.
* Oversee and maintain critical communication systems such as radio, telephony (ICCS) and emergency alerting platforms.
* Ensure data security and policy compliance while mentoring ICT engineers through training and technical guidance.
* Lead ICT projects and participate in the on‑call rota to provide out‑of‑hours support for essential systems.
