The Operational Training Instructor will play a key role in building a confident, competent and flexible workforce by delivering consistent, hands-on, and role-specific training to shop floor colleagues. This role strengthens our operational capability, supports faster onboarding, and reinforces safety and compliance through daily presence and coaching. Key Responsibilities: * Deliver on-the-job training across operational departments, ensuring clarity, consistency, and confidence in task execution. * Support new starters through tailored onboarding, practical instruction, and real-time feedback. * Provide clear, visual, and repeated instruction where language may be a barrier. * Reinforce safety and compliance behaviours, including manual handling and health & safety protocols. * Create and maintain a live training matrix and individual development trackers. * Update workday with accurate training records to ensure real-time visibility of progress & compliance. (Training will be provided) * Create structured learning content within the adapt platform, aligned with operational needs.(Training will be provided) * Facilitate cross-training to support greater flexibility and resilience in resourcing. * Identify training gaps and work collaboratively with line managers to address skill needs. * Offer ongoing support, encouragement and constructive feedback to help individuals grow. * Role models Trademark behaviours with professionalism and approachability. * Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by enabling team members to develop capability and confidence. Capabilities required * Experience in a manufacturing or production environment (ideally plastics or similar) * A natural ability to support, coach, and encourage others, even it not formally trained.
