About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Dovegate, a category B Prison located in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire.
In this role you will provide the highest standards of healthcare to patients while maintaining efficiency and quality.
Hours
* Monday‑Sunday service
* 37.5 hours a week
* Monday to Friday – 6:45 am to 6:15 pm
* Weekends – 7:45 am to 6:15 pm
* One weekend in four
* 4‑week rolling rota
Salary
You’ll receive an annual salary between £29,264 and £33,510 per annum, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
* Provide outstanding, quality‑based, patient‑centred care to patients, seeking, listening to, and acting on their feedback to personalise care.
* Focus on a safe and secure medicines management service, maintaining patient medical records to agreed standards and following SOPs to a high standard.
* Deliver non‑judgemental care within professional standards, from timely medicine administration to cost‑effective prescribing as defined by the Health in Justice medicines policy.
* Work as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Qualifications
We are looking for caring, compassionate, and driven professionals committed to fair and inclusive healthcare access.
* NVQ Level 3 or above, BTEC, or equivalent
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Continual Professional Development (CPD) up to date
* Relevant post‑qualification pharmacy experience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work unsupervised while following policy and procedures
* Experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment is desirable but not essential
