Our client, a Greater Manchester council is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their Duty & Assessment Team

Responsibilities of this role:
* Undertake timely and proportionate assessments of children and families referred to the service, in line with statutory requirements and local procedures.
* Respond to new referrals, complete initial visits, and gather information to inform decision‑making.
* Identify risks and strengths within families, ensuring robust safeguarding measures are in place.
* Work collaboratively with multi‑agency partners to develop effective plans that meet the needs of children and young people.
* Prepare clear, evidence‑based reports for child protection conferences, legal proceedings, and other statutory meetings.
* Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with legislation, guidance, and best practice standards.
* Participate in duty rota, responding promptly to urgent cases and managing crisis situations effectively.
Requirements of this role:
* Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
* Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker.
