About NHS Fife Pharmacy & Medicines Service
The NHS Fife Pharmacy & Medicines Service serves a population of approximately 380,000 people and is provided by an integrated team of around 200 Pharmacy staff, including Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Support Workers, Nurses, and Administrators. The team works across Acute and Community hospital sites, General Practices, Mental Health services, and a range of specialist teams. Partnership working is at the core of our values, and we work closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, including our Community Pharmacy colleagues, to deliver the highest quality care for everyone in Fife.
Position Overview
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced pharmacy technician registered with the GPhC with proven post qualification experience to join our pharmacy team.
Responsibilities
* Operational management and development of the team within Purchasing, Storage, and Distribution (PSD), including vaccines.
* Work independently or as part of the pharmacy team, building good relationships with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
* Registered pharmacy technician with the GPhC and proven post‑qualification experience.
* Experience of distribution, stock management, and knowledge of IT systems.
* Experience managing staff (preferred).
* Member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
* Right to work in the United Kingdom (legal requirement).

Work Location
The role will be based at Victoria Hospital but will require working at Queen Margaret Hospital to support cross‑site working.
