Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is looking for a Reliability and Maintainability Engineer to support new business opportunities on the E‑7 Wedgetail Aircraft. The role is based in the Product Support Engineering Department, which works across a range of technical areas including reliability‑centred maintenance analysis, logistics support analysis, and engineering data exploitation.
Responsibilities
* Work in a team to execute contracted reliability and maintainability (R&M) work.
* Provide analytical capability to transform information and data, delivering insight to support R&M decision‑making.
* Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and senior stakeholders, ensuring consistency of methods and activities across all projects.
* Support and review Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Fault Trees Analysis (FTA), failure analysis, and corrective action (FRACAS).
* Coordinate, monitor, and establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and report the status of R&M activities.
Beyond technical duties, the successful candidate may support company initiatives such as quality improvements, safety culture promotion, diversity and inclusion, mentoring, coaching, STEM outreach, and other growth projects.
Basic Qualifications & Competencies
* Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or a non‑US equivalent directly related to the role.
* Ability to obtain UK SC security clearance.
* Clear communication skills, a can‑do attitude, and a drive to continuously improve service quality.
* High level of skill in reliability and availability modelling calculations.
* Understanding of the relationships between R&M and design, dependability, safety, ILS, and asset management.
* Knowledge and experience of risk and reliability management systems and techniques.
* Proven ability to drive first‑time quality.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word) and Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.
Desirable Competences
* Defence background.
* Minimum technical education HNC/HND or formal training in support engineering principles.
Conflict of Interest

Work Authorisation
This is a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work in the United Kingdom.
Security Clearance
Position requires the ability to obtain a United Kingdom Security Check.
