Job Description
We are working with a specialist sen setting in Edgware, Barnet looking for an Autism Support Assistant to support pupils with autism and communication needs. This role is for someone who understands autism support beyond just having it written on a CV. This is a long-term role starting in September 2026, with strong potential to continue across the academic year. The school needs someone patient, structured and able to support pupils who may need visual routines, sensory support and calm communication. What the role involves: - Supporting pupils with ASD and communication needs - Helping pupils follow routines and access learning - Using calm, consistent support strategies - Working alongside experienced SEN staff and teachers What they are looking for: - Experience with autism support, SEN, care, youth work or school support - Patience and emotional consistency - Someone who understands routine, communication and regulation - A reliable person who can build trust over time Pay: £95 - £115 per day Location: Edgware, Barnet (EN5 5RP) Start date: September 2026 Apply now if you are securing a long-term September role.
