Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated Infection Prevention and Control Team (IPCT) at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust as an Infection Control Nurse. We are looking for a compassionate and accountable professional who shares our Trust values and is committed to delivering excellence, respect, and inclusive care to colleagues, patients, and service users.
Responsibilities
* Provide expert advice on infection prevention and control across the organisation
* Review patients with alert organisms and support clinical teams with containment strategies
* Work closely with microbiology consultants to interpret lab results and guide treatment decisions
* Deliver education and training to staff across all departments
Qualifications
* RNC/RN8 degree or diploma level
* Current NMC registration
* Relevant post-registration qualification as required for the speciality
* Experience of providing clinical advice in relation to the specialist area
