Job Description The role of Senior Accounts Assistant is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective administration, control, processing and payment of supplier invoices. Key Responsibilities And Tasks Include Ensure accurate and timely supplier payments, invoice processing, and ledger maintenance in line with internal procedures and supplier terms. Maintain clean and reconciled supplier accounts, resolving aged, queried, or lost items and managing balances for new or lost sites. Respond promptly to urgent requests and maintain clear, effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. Monitor service delivery against SLAs, ensuring compliance with financial controls, data accuracy, and fraud prevention protocols. Support continuous improvement efforts, identifying and implementing process enhancements to improve efficiency and service quality. Collaborate across departments and assist with ad hoc tasks or projects to support team operations and protect the business’s reputation. Qualifications And Skills Candidates for this position should have the following skills and qualifications: Minimum 2 years’ experience in an office-based role. Personable and resilient, with the confidence to handle challenging supplier interactions. Analytical and curious, with a drive for process improvement and system development. Organised, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail with good judgment and decision-making skills. Excellent communication skills and proficient in Microsoft Office.
