About the role
Polypipe Building Products is focused on delivering solutions to the residential sector. We work with national and local developers, plumbing and heating engineers, general builders and groundworkers to deliver above and below ground drainage systems, rainwater solutions as well as hot and cold plastic plumbing products.
This is a 12‑month fixed‑term position covering maternity leave, based at our Head Office in Edlington (DN12) with occasional travel to our Doncaster (DN2) site.
Responsibilities
* Preparing contracts, offer letters and onboarding documentation.
* Coordinating the onboarding process and supporting recruiting managers with Day‑1 induction requirements including drug & alcohol testing.
* Reviewing all new starter documentation including Right to Work documents.
* Maintaining the HRIS system (Workday) for starters, leavers, contract variations and employee records with accuracy.
* Providing statistical information for reporting purposes.
* Raising purchase orders.
* Supporting and helping with the delivery of engagement and communication initiatives.
* Managing the central HR inbox to ensure all emails are addressed in a timely manner and routed correctly.
* Supporting payroll, absence tracking and benefits administration.
* Assisting the HR Advisors and Business Partner with investigations and disciplinary matters, including taking minutes and producing relevant documentation.
* Supporting the administration of family‑friendly processes and documentation.
* Ensuring compliance with all employee‑related company policy, procedural guidelines, employment law and data protection (GDPR).
Skills & Experience
* Experience working in HR; CIPD qualification is an advantage.
* Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Working knowledge of Time & Attendance and HRIS systems, preferably Workday and Zeus.
* Proactive, detail‑driven and comfortable juggling multiple priorities.
* Team player who enjoys supporting others and making things happen.
* Confident communicator, organized and always one step ahead.
* Understanding and appreciation of confidentiality within a sensitive environment.
