Technical IT Project Manager Major Migration Programme | £650 per day | Outside IR35 | London Hybrid We are supporting a leading financial services organisation in the search for a Technical IT Project Manager to play a pivotal role in a high-profile Replatforming Programme. This is a complex, multi-system integration programme requiring an experienced project manager with strong technical awareness, proven delivery capability, and excellent stakeholder coordination skills. Role Overview You will be responsible for leading the coordination of multiple test environments across a programme of multi technical workstreams. This is not a Testing SME role deep testing expertise already exists within the team. Instead, your focus will be on delivery, orchestration, and planning. Key responsibilities include: Overseeing usage and planning across multiple test environments Coordinating activities between technical PMs, BAs, and testing teams Managing Jira for defect tracking and status reporting Maintaining and updating environment schedules and RAID logs Reporting into the central PMO and supporting programme-level governance Ensuring dependencies across systems and workstreams are actively managed and aligned Candidate Profile Were seeking a high-calibre IT Project Manager who combines delivery rigour with strong interpersonal skills and a proactive mindset. Essential skills & experience: Proven experience as a Technical IT Project Manager in complex environments Strong understanding of IT systems, feeds, APIs, and test environment planning Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams Experience using Jira for defect tracking and issue resolution Confident stakeholder management and communication at all levels Previous experience in financial services (banking, wealth, payments, etc.) Comfortable working onsite 3 days per week (Moorgate / Liverpool Street area) Preferred attributes: Resilient, proactive, and highly self-motivated Comfortable working in a fast-paced, delivery-focused culture Able to interpret technical documentation (architecture diagrams, system flows, etc.) Key Details Contract: Outside IR35 Rate: £650 per day Location: Central London (hybrid 3 days onsite, 2 days remote) Duration: 6-month rolling contract (longer-term programme)
