\n\nCattery Assistant \n\n We are a busy independent cattery, looking for a Full-Time or Part-Time assistant to join our cattery team. The position will be based at Eden Barn Cattery, so transport to get there will be necessary.
\n What will you be doing? (But not limited to) \n \n Cleaning cattery cages and ensuring boarders are comfortable and have appropriate food and water \n Cleaning the avian cages, including parrot cages and chicken pens and ensuring the boarders are comfortable and have appropriate food and water \n Cleaning the cages of the small furry boarders and ensuring they are comfortable and have appropriate food and water \n Taking client telephone calls for enquires of bookings \n Giving medication to animals that are staying with us \n General cleaning and restocking \n Admitting and discharging of boarders \n \n What are we looking for? \n \n The successful candidate must have the ability to adhere to strict procedures and protocols which are essential to ensure the welfare of the animals in our care. \n You must have at least a basic understanding of computers to ensure they have the ability to access our computer system, to take card payments and to be able to admit and discharge boarders. \n There may be some lone working, so you must have the initiative to be able to work on their own. \n Someone who is hardworking, adaptable, and a team player with a strong sense of attention to detail and a love of animals is a must! \n Good communication skills \n \n Previous experience is ideal but full training will be given to the right candidate.
\n Shifts on a rota basis between the hours of 8am & 6.30pm and to include weekends and Bank Holidays. Shifts may be split, which may require attending twice a day.
