Supply Chain is a critical pillar of ASOS' operations, with an annual spend exceeding £630 million. This global sourcing role is responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of services that underpin our end-to-end logistics and infrastructure strategy.
This role demands strategic sourcing expertise, strong supplier management capabilities, and a deep understanding of global logistics and infrastructure development. The key purpose of this Head of Procurement - Supply Chain role is to lead and collaborate on commercial activity to maximise value from ASOS's investment in Supply Chain Capex and Opex. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to develop and deliver a comprehensive strategy for managing in-scope third party spend.
Responsibilities
* Build and manage effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop and deliver a comprehensive strategy for managing in-scope third party spend.
* Manage strategic relationships, negotiating complex, high-value third party agreements on behalf of ASOS, with the ability to influence at the highest levels internally and externally. Be a trusted business partner and professionally challenge where appropriate.
* Category strategy and planning: Partner, lead and support the Supply Chain Capex and Opex community to understand objectives, current needs, evolving needs, and strategies. Lead the Supply Chain Procurement team to identify category insights and develop plans for the Financial Year that maximise value, drive innovation, and create competitive advantage for ASOS.
* Ensure category plans are effectively executed; provide strong commercial leadership on all areas of Supply Chain Capex expenditure.
* Develop a deep and current knowledge of the category supply landscape and provide actionable insights to the Supply Chain Capex community.
* Value Delivery: Develop and lead the delivery of an agreed pipeline of commercial activity with commercial rigor, ensuring benefits are captured and reported; identify and mitigate delivery risks.
* Create and obtain buy-in for key supplier management strategies to drive improved performance across the supply base and identify opportunities for additional value delivery.
* With Legal & Finance, ensure contracts protect ASOS's interests and comply with ASOS policies and transaction processing requirements.
* Support key supplier governance to ensure anticipated business benefits are delivered and the pipeline is actively managed.
* Identify revenue improvement opportunities, delivering measurable savings, cost avoidance and other benefits against targets, balancing cost savings with value creation.
* Team and functional leadership: Build and manage a team of recognised Supply Chain category subject matter experts; lead and develop the category team, including delivery of objectives and career development plans.
* Promote efficiencies such as automation and AI as part of category planning and execution; work with Procurement Optimisation to create easy-to-adopt buying channels.
* Contribute to and uphold the values/behaviours of the team; support cross-procurement and cross-functional initiatives as requested by the Director of Procurement and Property.
* As a senior leader within ASOS, deputise for the Director of Procurement and Property on request.
