About the Role
We are looking for an organised and proactive Rota Co-ordinator to join our busy Orthopaedic team based at RDE Wonford Site PEOC Department, working alongside another experienced Rota Co-ordinator to help deliver effective staffing support across the department.
This is a fast‑paced and varied role where excellent communication, planning and organisational skills are essential. You will be responsible for coordinating medical staffing rotas, ensuring safe and effective cover, managing absences, supporting clinical teams and maintaining accurate records and systems.
You’ll work closely with consultants, junior doctors, managers, HR and multidisciplinary teams, providing high‑quality administrative support while helping to ensure the smooth day‑to‑day running of the service.
Responsibilities
* Management of staffing rotas on a day‑to‑day basis.
* Excellent planning, negotiating and organisation to provide adequate staffing cover, including staff with external contractual commitments.
* Provide high quality personal assistance to the management team, including responsible administrative support in their absence, using own initiative and working without supervision.
* Ensure all information is secure, and confidentiality of information is maintained at all times.
* Maintain the professional image of the Trust at all times.
Qualifications
* Strong administration and organisational skills.
* Ability to prioritise workloads and work under pressure.
* Communicates confidently with staff at all levels.
* Experience in using Microsoft Office and rota/database systems.
* Works well independently and as part of a supportive team.
* Provides excellent customer service in a professional and calm manner.
Working Pattern
22.5 hrs per week - Pattern to be confirmed.

* Salary Band 4: £28,392 – £31,157 per annum pro rata.
