Contract: Full-time, (Monday-Friday)
Pay: £95-£100 per day (PAYE)
SANZA Teaching Agency is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a vibrant, inclusive, and creative primary school in the London Borough of Islington. The school is seeking a dedicated Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team from November 2025.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), particularly within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The successful candidate will play a key role in helping children develop their communication, social, and learning skills, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support for a child with SEND, adapting activities to meet individual learning needs.
Deliver targeted interventions to support speech, language, motor skills, and emotional development.
Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels supported and valued.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and external professionals to implement Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs).
Monitor progress and contribute to planning and review meetings.
Encourage independence and positive behaviour through praise and structured routines.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience working with children in Early Years and supporting pupils with SEND such as autism, speech and language delay, or global developmental delay.
Strong understanding of child development and early learning strategies.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
A proactive, patient, and compassionate approach to supporting young learners.
The ability to work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
