Family Support Practitioner
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Location: Norfolk East, Broadland and East District.
We are a locality-based service meaning you will be required to travel to the above locations to remote areas, travel expenses will be covered by the service.
Contract/Hours: Temporary 12-month fixed term contract 37 hours per week per.

A bit about the role.
As a Family Support Practitioner, you will work with Children and their families to help overcome challenges, improve wellbeing and build stronger, safer home environments. You will deliver parenting programmes, behaviour strategies, emotional wellbeing and help with practical skills within the home.
About the service
Norfolk's Early Childhood and Family Service provide targeted support to families with children aged 0-5 years. The service offers a range of early childhood services for parents, prospective parents, and young children to support in areas including bonding, speech and language development, parenting challenges, mental well-being, and healthy relationships.
How you'll help to create brighter futures
* Delivering parenting programmes.
* Assessing and responding to referrals into Norfolk's Early Childhood and Family Service.
* Communicating with parents / carers and partners to ensure the families need can be met by the Service.
* Maintaining accurate records by following process and procedure.
Let's talk about you.
Our job description for the Family Support Practitioner outlines the requirements of the role but the 'must-haves' are:
* Level 3 or above qualification in social care, health, education, or early years.
* Experience of working with children/young people and families.
* Good IT skills and ability to record concise, accurate case notes.
* Ability to understand and reflect on daily practice.
* Good communication skills with the Confidence to speak to professionals.
* Flexibility to be able to work occasional evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the service.
* Ability and willingness to work in a variety of premises across the county (the role will be required to work across more than one district at times).
