Role Profile

Job Title: Plumbing Engineer – Residential Plumbing
Department: Operations
Reports To: Network Manager

About the Company

Our client works with leading home insurers to deploy innovative, technology-driven solutions that deliver sustainable risk reduction. Their focus is on the global expansion of their proprietary leak detection system — an end-to-end Internet of Things (IoT) solution designed to protect homes from water damage.

Water damage remains the single largest cause of home insurance claims, accounting for over $17 billion annually across the USA and UK combined. The system is a patented, self-install device that connects to a home’s Wi-Fi network. When a potential leak is detected, it alerts the customer via a mobile app and offers access to a specialist team of engineers who can quickly locate and repair the issue.

Our client partners with multiple leading insurance carriers across the UK, Europe, and the USA, delivering cutting-edge solutions that reduce risk and improve customer experience.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Plumbing Engineer to join our client’s dedicated plumbing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping homeowners by diagnosing and repairing leaks detected by our client’s leak detection system.

You will also help identify and assess signs of potential water damage, providing reassurance and exceptional service to customers. This role offers the opportunity to use your technical expertise in a forward-thinking environment that values innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Our client fosters a supportive workplace where every employee is encouraged to share ideas and contribute to long-term success. You will enjoy a positive environment where your work makes a real difference to people’s homes and lives.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver an effortless and professional service experience for customers throughout each visit.

* Strive for first-time-fix excellence, completing all work to the highest standards with minimal disruption.

* Adjust and optimize the installation and connectivity of the leak detection device as required.

* Accurately record all job data in the company CRM system.

* Maintain cleanliness and professionalism at each property, ensuring it is left in the same (or better) condition.

* Support efforts to gather customer feedback and contribute to continuous process improvements.

* Manage van stock, tools, and equipment according to inventory procedures; purchase local spare parts when necessary.

* Communicate clearly and courteously with customers, colleagues, and management.

* Provide feedback on potential improvements to the device and repair process.

* Take ownership of your personal development, keeping up to date with new tools, techniques, and best practices.
