The Opportunity
Due to an internal promotion, we are recruiting for a Product Application Specialist for the north UK region.
Region of responsibility: North West, Wales, Scotland & Ireland
The candidates need to be based within the region to be considered for the role.
What You’ll Do
As the Product Application Specialist, you will support Rapid Diagnostics – Infectious Disease commercial strategy to align and partner with the NHS and private sectors, maximizing the division’s sales and margin goals within the rapid molecular diagnostic sector. Providing technical expertise, training and support for the entire product portfolio to customers and the internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Accountable for supporting and contributing to the achievement of regional sales revenue and instrument placement targets through product expertise, customer engagement and alignment with national strategy.
* Prioritise key accounts and products based on the national segmentation and targeting strategy and develop relationships with key stakeholders.
* Accelerate the sales cycle through product demonstrations, sharing technical education and supporting with verification and validation.
* Own the implementation process for new business opportunities to ensure post‑sale success and guaranteeing customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
* Support and upsell in existing accounts by adding value through training, education and troubleshooting.
* Lead connectivity for all new instruments in region, ensuring a rapid implementation.
This is a regional field-based role with a lot of travelling anticipated (80%) within the UK & Ireland.
Required qualifications/Profile
* Degree or higher in Business, Biological Science, Nursing or a related field
* Proven technical experience in the medical devices industry is preferred.
* Knowledge of rapid diagnostic and POCT industry practices in a relevant clinical field is preferred.
* Experience delivering informative and engaging education and training to HCPs.
* Good knowledge of the UK healthcare industry, NHS, and private healthcare providers
* Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of achieving results through influencing others.
* Ability to maintain positive relationships and build strong links with all departments.
* Self-starter with flexibility and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-changing environment.
* Excellent organisational, facilitation, and presentation skills.
* Driven by objectives, solutions, meeting deadlines, and customer satisfaction.
* Good knowledge and experience in medical devices, diagnostic equipment.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and various CRM systems.
* Good understanding of NHS operations and environmental regulations.
