You’ll help us keep track of who our visitors are so we can continue to improve the service and support we offer.The role includes a mix of practical and customer-facing responsibilities, such as opening and locking the Welcome Building, driving the access buggy to help visitors move around the site, and using the till to process admissions. You’ll also play an important part in promoting membership and supporting our fundraising efforts, helping visitors feel inspired to get more involved or to donate.A certain level of physical fitness is required, as the role involves being on your feet for much of the day, carrying out light physical tasks, and working in all weathers.You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. This is a fixed term contract due to end when the postholder returns to the role. At this point we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be more than 12 months.Hours: 624 hours across the contract. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in equal instalments over the year. You'll work more during our busier periods and less during quieter times.Shift times will typically be a combination of 9:00–15:30 or 10:00–14:00 during the winter, and 9:00–16:30 or 10:00–15:00 in the summer. The working pattern includes a mix of weekday and weekend shifts to support the needs of the site.You'll also be required to work over the Christmas period as this is one of our busier times of year.Interview date: Thursday 11th DecemberFor this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form.
