Aircraft Electrical Fitter
Location: Holyhead,Wales (onsite)
Contract: Contract until 31/12/2026 (possible extension)
Hours: 40 hours per week | Shift pattern (to be confirmed)
Rate: £28.16 per hour Umbrella / £21.05 per hour PAYE
Security Clearance: BPSS+ (to be completed prior to start)
IR35: Inside IR35
About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Aircraft Electrical Fitter to support maintenance operations on a fleet of rotary aircraft within a military aviation environment. This is a hands-on role working across both line and base maintenance, ensuring aircraft are maintained to the highest safety and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide engineering operational support to flight operations
* Carry out maintenance inspections and repairs as directed
* Perform electrical and avionic maintenance in accordance with OEM instructions
* Work on aircraft systems both on-aircraft and in workshop environments
* Support aircraft movement and hangar operations, including general housekeeping
* Ensure compliance with safety and airworthiness standards at all times
Essential Requirements
* Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical and avionic systems
* Experience using specialised test equipment for electrical/avionics systems
* Up-to-date knowledge of:
* Flight/Airport Operations
* Aircraft Line Maintenance
* Aircraft Base Maintenance
* Completed aircraft maintenance apprenticeship (or equivalent)
* Proven experience in base maintenance and flight operations
Desirable Skills
* Knowledge of UK Military Aviation environments
* Understanding of EASA Part 145 and Part M regulations
* Experience working on rotary aircraft platforms (e.g. H135/H145)
