You'll be joining a well-established, forward-thinking construction contractor specialising in fit-out, refurbishment, and blue-light projects across the North West. Your new role
Our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing Manchester-based team. You'll take a lead role in managing commercial aspects of multiple projects, ensuring financial efficiency, cost control, and contractual compliance, while supporting successful project delivery from inception through to completion.
Responsibilities will include:
Managing all commercial elements of fit-out, refurbishment, and blue-light projects up to £10m.
Preparing cost estimates, budgets, valuations, and final accounts.
Monitoring project costs and providing accurate financial reports.
Liaising with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Reviewing contracts, managing variations, and resolving commercial issues.
Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and procurement procedures.
Supporting tender preparation and negotiation.
Assisting with risk management and value engineering exercises.
What you will need to succeed:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction.
Strong track record in fit-out, blue-light, and refurbishment projects.
Commercial experience on projects valued up to £10 million.
Good knowledge of standard forms of contract.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (degree or equivalent).
