About the Role A global law firm with a great culture and strong progression opportunities is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their growing Energy sector Business Development team, with a special focus on the Future of Energy. You will take ownership of subsectors within the group and work closely with Senior Business Development Managers based in the US and Germany. Supported by two Business Development Advisers who handle a high volume of bids and pitches, this role allows you to focus on strategic initiatives. There is also potential for line management responsibilities. You will collaborate across practices and with partners globally, all eager to grow the group and bring fresh ideas. If you have the capacity, there’s also an opportunity to manage a couple of key accounts within the sector. Key Responsibilities Budgeting and planning for the Energy sector group Leading the production of strategic client pitches Developing content and thought leadership for the sector Working on client targeting and market analysis projects Managing a few key accounts as part of the firm’s client programme Driving cross-selling and knowledge sharing across practices Who We’re Looking For Strong business development and marketing experience at Manager level, ideally in a global law firm environment Experience in client strategy and key account management is desirable Experience working in a law firm is essential Exposure to the Energy sector is preferred, but candidates with sector-driven roles in law firms or aligned to Corporate/Finance will also be considered Excellent stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally Analytical mindset with experience in market and data analysis projects Proven bid and pitch experience
