Account Manager: Technical Sales
East Midlands – ideally located in Coventry, Leicester, Nottingham, or Derby.
Salary: cGBP48k – GBP52k, dependent on experience, plus generous benefits.

As part of a planned growth programme, the company is hiring an experienced, highly self‑motivated Account Manager – Technical Sales to join a successful business development team and maximise opportunities with existing and new clients, focusing on automation and robotic solution sales.
Responsibilities
* Attend customer sites to nurture relationships, understand their current and future requirements, and recommend enhancements, modifications or upgrades that benefit their business.
* Create and maintain sales analysis sheets for each enquiry received.
* Report enquiry results at weekly sales meetings, providing insight into future enquiries and potential market demands or competitor developments.
* Prepare financially viable and commercially beneficial quotations, reviewing internally prior to delivery to the customer.
* Understand budgetary and timescale requirements for each enquiry.
* Maintain regular communication with the customer throughout the life of the enquiry.
* Organise sales handover meetings to transfer details of the order to the technical team and support the project team and the customer throughout the project life cycle when required.
To be considered, candidates should have previous sales and account management experience with automation systems, ideally within the automotive sector, and hold a qualification of at least HND level or higher in an engineering or business‑related discipline. Candidates must be self‑motivated, organised, commercially savvy, and possess excellent communication skills at all levels. Travel within the UK and overseas is required; residency in or around the Leicester area is preferred.
