Our client is looking for an organised and motivated Assistant Management Accountant to join their team and assist with the financial oversight of their property portfolio. This position will work alongside the Management Accountant and Group FM, contributing to the production of financial statements, reporting, and property-focused analysis. The successful applicant will play an important role in supporting the efficiency of the finance function and ensuring accurate and timely financial information is delivered.

Main Duties
Contribute to the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts.
Assist with producing performance commentary and variance reporting.
Compile reconciliations, analysis schedules, and supporting documentation.
Help develop dashboards, KPIs, and portfolio performance insights.
Maintain detailed financial records for individual properties, including rent, service charges, accruals, and prepayments.
Process rent invoicing, service charge allocations, and tenant recharge calculations.
Reconcile rent receipts, update tenant accounts, and assist with arrears tracking.
Manage purchase ledger activity, supplier invoices, and payment processing.
Complete bank reconciliations and support accurate cashflow tracking for all property entities.
Assist in preparing annual service charge budgets and final accounts reconciliations.
Help compile audit documentation and liaise with auditors as required.
Ensure financial records comply with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Maintain integrity of data across finance and property management systems.
Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting, systems, and control processes.
Experience & Skills
Solid bookkeeping knowledge and familiarity with management accounting processes.
Confident Excel user.
Strong accuracy, organisational ability, and communication skills.
Team-focused approach and ability to work effectively with colleagues across finance.
