Job Purpose:
Reporting into the site’s Quality Systems and Data Lead, the Quality Digital Innovation Senior Specialist provides oversight and management of the data provision process to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data provision across the site. The roles responsibilities extends to driving improvements to the provision of data in all functions (in terms of quality and speed).
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure that data provision is consistent and accurate
• Provide oversight of data provision quality ensuring that data provision is performed in line with procedures
• Provide advice and support throughout site with respect to SAP data provision
• Ensure the adoption of the simplified, standardised SAP solution, minimizing customisation and maximising the adoption of embedded standard SAP good-practices
• Working with core SAP functions to introduce new core functionality and to escalate risks as appropriate
• Identify opportunities for improvement within the data provision and approval functions
• Develop Change Improvement Frameworks and actions to address improvements
• Development and delivery of training materials with respect to SAP data provision to improve the capability of the site
About You:
As this role interacts with a wide variety of on-site production and operations teams, you will be a self-motivated person who has experience of working with data. Your experience will have been gained whilst working in a complex highly-regulated manufacturing industry. Familiarity with data tools (including Excel) is required. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are also considered valuable skills (to influence people to achieve and to drive performance).

GSK Barnard Castle is a key secondary manufacturing site. We have invested heavily in industry 4.0 state of the art bespoke equipment to support sustained new product introductions and volume increases. As a key supplier of some of GSK’s blockbuster products the site contributes revenues of ~$2Bn annually.

Basic Qualifications:
1. Degree in relevant Scientific, Technical or Engineering discipline (eg; Computer Science or related field of study) or strong relevant equivalent experience (ideally gained working in a Manufacturing Facility for a highly-regulated industry).
2. Relevant knowledge / experience in data management and data systems (as well as scientific principles) for the implementation and optimisation of digital solutions in a highly-regulated environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
3. Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements.
4. Knowledge and application of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
