Purpose: To assist the Curriculum Director in the management and review of the curriculum in accordance with College policies To undertake a teaching programme and all aspects of the teaching and learning process (equating to 350 taught hours per annum) To act as a Course Leader for designated course(s) To participate in liaison activities associated with the programme area and those relating to the College provision Develop and maintain professional competence in the post and in other duties performed on behalf of the Curriculum of the College Performance and People Management Skills/Experience: Experience in leading teams Experience in teaching the relevant subject area Excellent knowledge of recent initiatives in curriculum development and design Qualifications: Grade C (or above) or equivalent English and Maths Level 3 qualification in the relevant area of expertise (Electrical & Carpentry) Level 5 Teaching qualification Relevant degree/and or appropriate level of professional qualifications Ideal Attributes: Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people at all ages and levels Flexibility in approach Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines within a busy environment Innovative and creative approach to work About Us The South Hampshire College Group (SHCG) is a dynamic, purpose driven Further Education organisation with a commitment to Creating Better Futures for learners, employers and communities within South Hampshire and beyond.
