Job Title: Theatre Practitioner

We are seeking skilled Theatre Practitioners to join our expanding team at Community Eye Care CHEC, based in Stockport, UK. This role offers flexible shifts and the opportunity to contribute to innovative eye health services.
About the Role
The Theatre Practitioner will focus on patient-centric care, managing the entire patient pathway from pre-admission to post-operative care. Responsibilities include preoperative assessments, diagnostics, and assisting in ophthalmic surgeries in accordance with AfPP guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide compassionate support to patients and their families
* Prepare clinical areas for procedures
* Assist surgeons during ophthalmic surgeries
* Manage patient admission and discharge
* Maintain a proactive approach to learning and delivering quality care
* Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Work collaboratively within a team environment
Requirements:
* Previous theatre experience required; ophthalmic scrub experience preferred but not essential, as full training is provided for qualified RGNs or ODPs with at least 2 years of clinical experience in a secondary care setting
* Current professional registration (NMC or HCPC)
* Up-to-date clinical knowledge
* Proficiency with computer systems and software
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* A passion for delivering high-quality patient safety and care
