The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced team leader to join our Lisburn team. This is a superb opportunity where you will have exposure to many facets of our business and play an integral role in driving continuous improvement to ensure full compliance within our customer processes, internal administration, legislation, health & safety, transport, waste management, and service excellence.
Job responsibilities for Branch Compliance & Operations Supervisor:
Management
* Leading a Warehouse & Inventory Operative team.
Health and Safety
* Ensure protection of persons and property – ensure all persons adhere to prescribed H&S procedures. Maintain a safe working environment.
* Responsible for annual FMIR (Health & Safety) audit.
* Identify potential risks & seek to mitigate/eliminate.
* Liaise with HSEQ team to stay updated with new legislation and safety alerts.
* Ensure adherence to ISO9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
Waste and Environmental Management
* Comply with the site Environmental Permit and reduce risks to staff, visitors & the environment.
* Control waste quantities entering the branch, ensuring compliance with permits & tonnage limits.
* Manage warehouse team regarding waste segregation & packaging. Quality control inbound & outbound waste containers.
* Liaise with the Environment Agency.
* Conduct inventory checks & investigate discrepancies.
* Ensure proper labelling and storage of stock.
* Oversee branch warehouse processes.
Fleet Management
* Maintain the branch fleet, report defects, ensure services, MOTs, and inspections are carried out per DVLA requirements, and maintain compliance with “O” licence. Oversee tachograph downloads.
Training and Management
* Coordinate with training department to ensure compliance with training requests.
* Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback, including annual reviews.
Internal and external processes
* Handle compliance-related customer queries promptly and efficiently.
* Ensure branch facilities operate smoothly, report and resolve issues timely.
* Maintain equipment in good order, ensure inspections are conducted as scheduled.
* Work Monday to Friday – no weekends.

Experience and Qualifications
* Experience in a similar role or a natural career progression.
* Effective communication and organizational skills.
* IOSH, NEBOSH, or WAMITAB qualifications are advantageous.
