Role Purpose
To assist with outgoing customer orders as well as incoming deliveries of stock. To take responsibility for making sure the warehouse is clean, tidy, and free from hazards. Contributing to providing the best possible customer experience, including assisting with customer queries by phone and email.
Warehouse Assistant/ Fulfilment Operative Duties
* Ensure customer orders are picked and packed correctly, as well as distributed on time.
* Receive, check off, and inspect incoming goods, ensuring items are in perfect condition.
* Log and book items on the system, if required.
* Load and unload goods as well as store them appropriately.
* Process returns.
* Assist customers by answering queries via phone and email in a clear, professional manner.
* Assist in maintaining a safe, tidy working environment and organised warehouse.
* Carry out general warehouse duties.
Person Profile – Knowledge & Experience
* Previous exposure to a warehouse environment and operating pallet trucks is advantageous but not essential.
* A self-motivated individual who can act on their initiative but is also a team player.
* A conscientious and reliable individual who is efficient and focused.
* A clear and confident communicator, comfortable using phone and email.
* Physically fit and able to lift heavy boxes and climb ladders.
* PC literacy.
* Flexibility – early starts, late finishes, and working weekends in busy periods may sometimes be required.
