We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer - Days to join our team in East London / Essex. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of equipment and facilities within the Food Manufacturing industry, with a big focus on preventative maintenance and continuous improvement. Description Perform regular maintenance and inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure optimal functionality. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues efficiently. Collaborate with the operations team and engineering team to minimise downtime and maintain productivity. Experience creating and adhering a Total Productive Maintenance plan and other Preventive Maintenance schemes. Experience in continuous improvement from a maintenance and engineering perspective - exposure to new machinery or new site commissioning is always a plus! Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks and completed repairs. Implement preventative maintenance schedules to reduce equipment failures. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment as needed. Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.Profile A successful Maintenance Engineer should have: Relevant qualifications in engineering or a related field. Proven expertise in maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical systems. Proven experience in working within a TMP or PM plans within food manufacturing. Familiarity with health and safety standards in the manufacturing sector. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
