Job description: NURSERY PRACTITIONER – LEVEL 2
Location: Tops Prince Rock, Plymouth, Devon
Pay rate: Up to £** per hour
Contracted Hours: 30 hours per week / Full Time

Our Nursery Practitioner supports the educational and social development of children up to age five. Key duties include ensuring a safe learning environment, helping children develop social and behavioral skills, and engaging them in age-appropriate play. About the Nursery Tops Prince Rock Nursery is a 42 place Day Nursery & Pre-School situated in Plymouth. The nursery runs several extra-curricular activities including cooking school, Boogie Mites, yoga, tooth brushing and much more!
Role Responsibilities
* Providing day-to-day care, including feeding, changing diapers, and helping children with toilet training.
* Ensuring a safe, clean, and stimulating environment.
* Developing and leading fun, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development, focusing on social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills.
* Observing children\'s development and identifying any areas of concern.
* Helping children develop motor skills, language, and social interactions through play and structured learning.
* Ensuring that children are safe and emotionally supported.
* Creating an atmosphere that encourages children to explore and learn independently.
* Keeping records of each child\'s progress, including documenting milestones, behaviors, and developmental needs.
* Maintaining regular communication with parents or guardians about progress, needs, and any concerns.
Qualifications
* A minimum of a Level 2 Early Years Qualification is required.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures.
