We'd like you to join us as a Senior Staff Nurse (RN) at our Nottingham Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre in Nottingham.
At Nottingham Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre, we offer rehabilitation, care, and support to people with a brain injury or other neurological condition. We’re committed to helping every person we support feel safe, happy, and empowered, enabling them to live the best life possible.
We provide a psychology-led multidisciplinary treatment model to deliver a high-quality, specialist service for people who have a neuro disability or acquired brain injury.
You will work across three units:
* Fernwood Unit - Providing longer-term care for residents with complex care needs including tracheostomies, ventilation. (22 Beds)
* Millwood Unit - a Rehabilitation Unit delivering a programme following brain injury, to enable them to become as independent as possible. (14 beds)
* Hazelwood Unit - For residents who have conditions that require longer-term care. (23 beds)
What you'll be working:
We're flexible, so you'll work a total of hours per week, days & nights on a rota basis.
What you'll be doing:
* Acting as Primary Nurse, taking overall responsibility for the nursing input residents receive, through nursing assessments and care planning.
* Contributing towards MDT working, risk assessment management, and a programme of ongoing clinical improvement.
* Providing written nursing reports for a range of statutory and clinical review processes.
* Working according to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and relevant professional guidelines as a named nurse or key worker for a defined group of patients.
* Providing clinical leadership to a designated nursing team and ensuring the provision of high-quality care.
* Providing a high-quality, individualized standard of care to a defined group of patients, relatives, and carers.
* Ensuring the effective supervision and development of staff.
* Working and acting as a key member of the team, supporting each patient in achieving their planned outcomes.
* Acting as the primary nurse in the assessment of needs and organizing care.
* Taking charge of a designated clinical area.
* Adopting a flexible approach to hours of duty to meet the needs of the service over a 24-hour period.
What you'll have:
* A current NMC Pin registration
* A legal right to work in the UK
