Legal Administrator\n\nNottingham City Centre\n\nFull-Time, Permanent\n\nMonday – Friday, 09:00am - 5:30pm\n\n£12.21 per hour\n\nA long-established and respected legal services provider in the East Midlands, specialising in Criminal Law, Family Law, Personal Injury, Public Law, and Community Care, is seeking to recruit a dedicated Legal Administrator to join their busy Criminal Law department based in Nottingham City Centre.\n\nThis opportunity is ideal for an organised and detail-focused administrator with a proactive approach and a strong interest in the legal sector. While previous experience as a legal administrator is preferred, it is not essential as full training will be provided.\n\nKey Responsibilities of the Legal Administrator include:\n\nProcessing legal aid applications and amendments accurately and efficiently\n\nManaging online diaries for legal hearings, filing deadlines, and appointments\n\nDrafting basic legal documents and standard correspondence with precision\n\nProcessing invoices in line with internal legal office procedures\n\nMonitoring and logging incoming legal and departmental communications\n\nReconciling daily and weekly court lists against internal legal systems\n\nChasing outstanding documentation to ensure legal records are complete\n\nScheduling client appointments and internal legal meetings\n\nLiaising professionally with clients, courts, and external parties on legal matters\n\nOpening and closing physical case files according to legal office protocols\n\nTaking minutes during legal team or departmental meetings\n\nHighlighting hearings and meetings for appropriate allocation within the legal team\n\nThe ideal candidate for the Legal Administrator role will demonstrate:\n\nExceptional organisational and administrative skills suited to a fast-paced legal environment\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills tailored to legal documentation and client interaction\n\nThe ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently as a reliable legal administrator\n\nPrevious experience working as a legal administrator or in a legal setting is advantageous but not required\n\nProfessionalism, confidence, and courtesy when handling sensitive legal and client communications\n\nEnthusiasm with a willingness to learn and develop as a legal administrator\n\nWe welcome applications from individuals who are organised, proactive and ready to build or grow their career as a legal administrator.
