Your Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an Area Sales Manager to join the Practice Plan Group (part of the Wesleyan Group), where you’ll be working with a select portfolio of dental clients to drive success and achieve both company and personal goals.
In this key role, you’ll play a critical part in shaping the success of both our business and the dental practices we support. Your leadership will directly influence the growth of your portfolio, while also helping our clients thrive. You'll guide and inspire your field team, providing them with the support, direction, and tools they need to exceed their objectives and deliver outstanding results.

This will be a field-based role covering the South East, East of England and Midlands.

Day to day activities include;
1. The development of a business plan and sales strategy for the Area to ensure the delivery of new Switch and NHS conversion business, grow the current portfolio and retention objectives and to identify medium and long-term trends and the identification and evaluation of new markets and/or products and opportunities
2. Motivate the Sales Team ensuring focussing on their professional development through the management of training and development plan for all colleagues, including personal development planning with individuals.
3. To drive and deliver the Company strategy, supporting and communicating Company and Group messages as required and to provide input into the development and implementation of marketing plans relating to lead generation, activity and sales support material.
4. Ongoing Client relationship management for a limited portfolio of clients
5. The determination of annual sales objectives and goals for individual team members driving cross functional sales and monitoring teams’ response times and conversation rates in relation to leads.
6. Recruit and cultivate a high performing team, developing talent and ensuring the continued improvement of skills and capability, as well driving a robust performance management and strong engagement culture through effective leadership
7. The development of a sales budget and control of expenses to meet budget guidelines
8. Responsible for the effective implementation of ad-hoc projects ensuring they are managed and sponsored to meet and exceed Company goals.
Are you the right person for the job?
9. Some previous experience of successfully managing sales teams ideally from a similar industry
10. Track record of achieving targets and driving sales growth in a business
11. Ability to manage multiple workloads at a time whilst paying attention to deliver of service in detail
12. Leadership skills and an ability to inspire colleagues
13. Strong team player
14. Strong business sense and industry expertise
15. Business Development capability
16. A confident and clear communicator with good interpersonal skills
17. Financial analysis and an ability to manage and analyse data and identify key ratios in order to improve performance.
18. Commercially minded.
