St Martins Care are recruiting for a Bank Registered Nurse to work at their busy Nursing and Residential Care Home.

Location: The service premises, but you may be required to work from other locations at the discretion of the company and with appropriate notice
Role-specific Duties:
* Ensure residents are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing.
* To provide nursing care in accordance with current best practice, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager.
* Undertake all aspects of medicine management in line with legal, professional and regulatory requirements.
* To supervise staff and ensure that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service.
* Work within the NMC Code of Conduct.
* Be responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of those individuals supported by the service.

* Develop effective working relationships with colleagues within the service.
* Work in cooperation with members of multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for residents.
* Maintain and develop relationships with residents loved ones.

Personal and Professional Development
* Have knowledge of, and work within, the Fundamental Standards.
* Be registered with the NMC and work within the Code of Conduct.
* To comply with NMC requirements for revalidation every three years; this will require (among other measures) obtaining practice-based feedback, reflective discussions, written self-reflections on practice, and obtaining confirming evidence of continued adherence to the NMC codes of practice from a health care professional, normally the line manager.
* Understand the regulatory framework governing the service, including CQC requirements.
* Commit to achieving relevant qualifications commensurate with the role.
* Attend statutory and other training as directed by management.
* Follow all policies and procedures relevant to the role.

About The Role
Essential Criteria:
Qualifications:
* Registered Nurse Qualification.
* Registered with relevant body, e.g. NMC.
* Good English (written and verbal).
Skills:
* Maintain care plans/care records in accordance with the service’s policy and audit care records following company policy to ensure compliance.
* Communication skills to build rapport with residents, communicate effectively with them, and inform colleagues, management, and professionals about their needs.
* Problem-solving skills to adapt to and address situations quickly, develop solutions, and recognise/report situations requiring protection.
* Ability to assist residents with daily tasks by following their care plan, this may include bathing, eating, dressing, grooming, and using the bathroom.
* Supervise staff providing residents with support/assistance as they accomplish daily tasks, including bathing, eating, dressing, grooming and using the bathroom.
* Provide nursing care in accordance with current best practice, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager.
* Undertake all aspects of medicine management in line with legal, professional and regulatory requirements.

* Previous experience of working in a similar environment.
