Join our dedicated team of Community Angels at Angels in Aprons! In this casual role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality in-home care and support to elderly and disabled participants across the Gold Coast.
What you'll be doing
Assisting participants with personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
Providing domestic assistance like light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
Accompanying participants to appointments and outings, offering companionship and engaging in social activities
Monitoring participants' health and wellbeing, and reporting any changes or concerns to the care team
Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure the highest quality of care
What we're looking for
A Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community) or equivalent qualification
Experience providing personal care and support services to elderly or disabled clients in a community setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with participants
A caring, patient, and empathetic approach, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives
A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
Minimum of two (2) COVID vaccinations, current First Aid & CPR certificates, and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and/or National Police Check
