* Hours: Full Time (37 hours/week)
* Salary: £44,000 - £48,000 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring our organisation's operations are compliant with environmental regulations.
What You'll Do:
* Act as the principal environmental permitting liaison with regulatory bodies such as the Environment Agency and Natural England.
* Negotiate and secure necessary environmental permits, consents, and licenses in Sussex, enabling us to effectively manage our wastewater and water supply activities.
* Keep the business informed of new permit conditions by updating our permit management system.
* Provide expert advice on permitting matters to various stakeholders.
* Represent our organisation at regional and national meetings, advocating for our interests with regulators.
About You:
To thrive in this role, you will need:
* An Environmental Degree (or relevant qualification).
* Strong negotiation and communication skills.
* Experience liaising and negotiating with environmental regulators.
* A knack for simplifying complex regulatory issues.
* Excellent verbal reasoning skills and numeracy, coupled with competent IT skills.
* Ideally, you will have experience in the water or environmental sector, particularly in wastewater and waste management.
