Location: Lane End Overview We are looking for a new member of staff to join our dedicated team. Lane End Primary School is looking to appoint an inspirational and highly effective Assistant Headteacher on a permanent contract who is committed to supporting and achieving educational excellence for our pupils. Working alongside the Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in building on the school's current strengths in teaching and learning, whilst supporting continual development and improvement though modelling a leadership style rooted in kindness, ambition for all and professional curiosity. Website: Lane End Primary School - Home About the role What we offer: A highly competitive salary First class support and wider CPD opportunities Opportunities to consolidate and grow excellent practice within a supportive, ambitious team Collaboration across schools, working alongside experienced leaders Professional growth and leadership development, with opportunities to shape the school's exciting new future A school with strong links to the local community Please see attached job description for more information About you We are looking for an Assistant Headteacher who: Embodies the ethos and inclusive values of the school Is deeply committed to inclusion, equity and the achievement of every child Can engage effectively with parents and families Delivers and champions high quality teaching and learning that is rooted in evidence based research, securing strong pupil progress and outcomes Uses robust assessment, tracking and intelligent data analysis to inform strategy Has secure curriculum knowledge across EYFS and KS1 and understands the importance and effective delivery of continuous provision for young children Holds high expectations for behaviour, attitudes and achievement Is reflective, emotionally intelligent and committed to continuous improvement Builds strong, trust based relationships with pupils, staff, families and external partners Can help lead with courage and compassion, balancing warmth and care with challenge Understands the importance of safeguarding children and supports an active safeguarding culture within the school Key Responsibilities: Maintain excellence in teaching and Learning with a 0.5 (FTE) teaching commitment Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning through data analysis, observations, pupil outcomes and professional dialogue. Line-manage teachers and support staff, ensuring consistency of practice and high expectations. Oversee EYFS and KS1, maintaining strengths and leading their continuous development Lead on the development of English across the school, including phonics Support and continue to develop the successful work undertaken for the school's application for Voice 21 Oracy Centre of Excellence Undertake the role of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and Designated Teacher for Looked After Children Work with all members of staff to ensure vulnerable children are supported through the implementation of the school's Pupil Premium Strategy Please see the job description and person specification for further information.
